This Privacy Policy explains how HIMA (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you visit our website, contact us, or book tours and related services. By using our site and services, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect the basics we need to take enquiries and bookings (names, contact details, traveler counts, pickup notes) and, where necessary, limited health/fitness disclosures for water activities.
We do not store full card numbers—payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
We use WhatsApp and email to communicate; their own privacy policies apply.
We use analytics and a marketing pixel to understand site usage and improve the experience.
You can access, correct, or delete your data and opt out of marketing anytime.

We collect information in three ways: (a) what you provide, (b) what’s collected automatically, and (c) what partners share with us to deliver your tour.
Booking & enquiry details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp, hotel/pickup location, dates, number of travelers, traveler types (adult/child), add‑ons, special requests.
Participant details: names of travelers, age brackets for children; contact for lead traveler.
Payments: payment status and amounts. Card data is handled by our payment gateway; we do not store full card numbers.
Health & safety disclosures (as needed): e.g., comfort in water, medical or fitness notes relevant to snorkeling/diving. We limit collection to what is necessary for safety and logistics.
Communications: messages you send by email, forms, or WhatsApp.
Reviews & media: feedback, ratings, and photos you choose to share or allow us to use.
Device & usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, approximate location (from IP), browser and device type.
Cookies & similar tech: essential cookies for bookings; optional analytics and marketing cookies if you consent. See §9.
Operators & guides: booking confirmations, capacity status, incident/safety notes when relevant to your tour.
Payment provider: payment confirmation and fraud‑check signals (no full card data).
Provide services: process enquiries and bookings, issue confirmations and reminders, coordinate pickups, and deliver customer support.
Safety & eligibility: assess basic suitability for activities (e.g., water confidence, age requirements).
Payments & accounting: take deposits or full payment, manage refunds, and keep necessary records.
Improve our site & services: monitor performance, fix issues, and enhance content.
Marketing (optional): send news, offers, or blog updates with your consent; you can unsubscribe anytime.
Legal & compliance: meet tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and respond to lawful requests.
Legal bases (where applicable): performance of a contract (bookings), legitimate interests (service improvement, security), consent (marketing, certain cookies), and legal obligation (records/receipts).
We share only what’s needed to deliver your trip and run our business:
Tour operators & guides: traveler names, date/time, pickup, and special notes.
Payment gateway: to process your payment securely.
Hosting, email & SMS/WhatsApp providers, analytics and advertising tools: to operate the website, send messages, and measure performance.
Professional services: accountants, legal counsel, or insurers if reasonably necessary.
If required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information.
Our service providers may process data in other countries (e.g., the United States or the EU/UK). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable mechanisms offered by providers.
Bookings & receipts: kept for up to 7 years for tax and accounting.
Enquiries: typically kept for 24 months.
Marketing lists: kept until you unsubscribe or we prune inactive contacts.
Health/safety notes: collected only if needed for your activity, shared with your operator, and retained no longer than necessary to manage the booking, safety follow‑ups, and legal requirements.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, port your data, and withdraw consent (for marketing/cookies) at any time.
To exercise rights, email inquiries@himabelize.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You can always opt out of marketing by clicking Unsubscribe in our emails or messaging us on WhatsApp.
We use HTTPS, reputable hosting, access controls, backups, and other safeguards to protect your information. No online system is perfectly secure, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Please protect your account devices and do not email full card numbers or sensitive documents.
